After a decade working as a residential Interior Designer for some of South Florida’s esteemed Interior Design firms; in July of 1999 Caroline’s entrepreneurial spirit grabbed hold and she established Caroline Gama Design, Inc. As Principal, she has had the privilege of satisfying her client’s high end discerning design tastes and expectations. This comes with a keen eye for detail and ability to actively listen. Solving her client’s design problems is one of Caroline’s fulfilling joys as an Interior Designer. “Form Follows Function” is a principle she follows when creating aesthetically pleasing functional environments in her client’s homes.

Caroline graduated with an Associate and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Interior Design; June 1993 and December 1994 respectively from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

An active ASID Student Chapter member, moving on to serve on ASID’s National Student Council. Caroline was awarded scholarships, in part attributed to her ASID student volunteerism and academic achievements.

Gratitude for ASID prompted Caroline to serve again. This time as a volunteer leader on the Florida South Chapter Board when asked in 2017. For the past 5 years Caroline has served as Communications Dir., Professional Development Dir., President-elect, and now Chapter President starting October 1st, 2022.

Caroline was humbled for the opportunity to travel with Tribal Members from the Seminole Tribe of Florida to South Dakota with Christmas gifts and much needed supplies for children on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Born in Tanzania, East Africa. Caroline spent most of her childhood traveling and living in different countries throughout the world with her parents who worked for Government organizations. This experience exposed her to many different cultures and traditions. Providing an influence of understanding for diversity and inclusion throughout the world.
