ACTION REQUIRED - HB 7047 Requires An Architect’s License To Practice Interior Design!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dear Fellow Interior Design Colleagues,

We just learned new and disturbing information about how House Bill 7047 would harm Florida’s interior designers regardless of if they are licensed or not. The way it is currently written would ban ANY interior designer from practicing interior design unless they are licensed to practice architecture. Whether contract or employed in-house, thousands of interior designers would lose both their jobs and the ability to practice interior design!

The bill most likely is coming up in the House Commerce Committee within the next week. Bottom line: we need you and your friends, family, colleagues, clients, etc, to get as many email messages to your state representative in Tallahassee as possible before then.

Please click this http://p2a.co/OYA7hGX or text “InteriorDesignerFL” to the number 52886. Doing so will allow you to conveniently email your representatives in the state house with one click and deliver the most impactful message possible that supports the Florida interior design profession.

As always, many thanks for your support and stay tuned for more timely updates from us. Until then, please spread the word by email, text, and social media for people to support Florida’s interior designers!

Sincerely,
